  • Museumsquartier, Leopold Museum. Museum Director Prof. Rudolf Leopold with painting "Tod und Leben (Death and Life)", 1911/15 by Gustav Klimt. The painting was one of Klimt's favourites, unsigned and always near to him. It is now valued at US$ 40 Million - but of course, it isn't for sale. Prof. Leopold has the largest private collection of paintings of Stile Liberty (Jugendstil) and Secessionismo, which he brought into a foundation in 1994 with support of the Republic and the National Bank of Austria.
